Flower Varieties

(Images below are of the actual flowers used in our bouquets)

Dahlias

Dahlias are perennials and come in many shapes, sizes and colors and are grown from tubers or seeds. Dahlias can be as small as 1" diameter and up to dinner plate size.

They are hardy in zones 7-10. Growing them in zones 6 or lower requires them to be removed from the ground each fall, stored in a moderately cool environment and then replanted in the Spring.

Vase life is generally 6-7 days when using holding preservatives.

Sunflowers

Here at FARM & NEEDLE, we grow Procut® Sunflowers. These single stem sunflowers are 3-4" and are specifically grown to be used in flower bouquets. They are also pollen-less so there is no mess created when displayed in your home.

Vase life is generally 10-12 days when using a holding preservative.
